Welcome to the Le Mars, Iowa Kiwanis Club
Our motto: “Serving the Children of the World”
Our mission statement: “Kiwanis is a global
organization of volunteers dedicated to changing
the world one child and one community at a time”
We are the local face, arms and legs of achieving
these objectives:
•To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than
to the material values of life.
•To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all
human relationships.
•To promote the adoption and the application of higher
social, business and professional standards.
•To develop, by precept and example, a more
intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship.
•To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to
form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service
and to build better communities.
•To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound
public opinion and high idealism which make possible
the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and
goodwill.
We are always looking for others who desire to make the world
and our community a better place -- could it be you?
The Kiwanis Club and the Aktion Club of Le Mars got together on Wednesday,
December 3, at the American Legion Hall to make popcorn balls. In 1 ½ hours
approximately 1,000 balls were made. They will be handed out at the Festival
of Trees held the first time at the Plymouth County Historical Museum in the
gym. Dates are the Saturdays and Sundays of the weekends of December 6
and 7, and December 13 and 14, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The gym is decorated
beautifully.
Le Mars Kiwanis Club and Aktion Club work together!
A big THANK YOU to the
American Legion for letting
us use their hall! Also, a big
THANK YOU to Fareway for
letting us use their saran
wrap machine!
